Junior Judging Royal Geelong Show 2011 – Over Judge Mr. Michael Deppler

Students from Ballarat Grammar, Elizabeth Murdoch College and Woodleigh School were eager participants on Sunday morning for the Junior Judging sponsored by  Geof Oliver, Engelwood Park. Three young march shorn rams were held in readiness whilst Michael gave a comprehensive appraisal of what to look for when judging corriedales. Thank you to Michael, Geof Oliver and the volunteers who took part with the three phases of the actual judging.

About the Breed

The Corriedale was simultaneously evolved in both Australia and New Zealand about 1874 by selectively breeding from cross bred progeny of pure Merino and Lincoln sheep.
