2005 RESULTS


Liberton being the only exhibitor won all  Championships  in the Corriedale section at this years Royal Melbourne Show celebrating the 150 year of the show.

The young ram selected as Champion Corriedale ram gained equal 6th placing in the interbreed which was excellent to stand so high with such a young ram in broad competition

There were many entries in the Fleece Competitions in which


'Liberton' was awarded:

 

 

Grand Champion Fleece of the Show.

This fleece was very white and displayed excellent character.

1st in the Corriedale Ewe or Wether fleece
Best Corriedale Fleece
Best Non merino Fleece


'Stanbury' was awarded:
The JF Guthrie Trophy for the Most Valuable Corriedale Fleece

About the Breed

The Corriedale was simultaneously evolved in both Australia and New Zealand about 1874 by selectively breeding from cross bred progeny of pure Merino and Lincoln sheep.
