Michael Deppeler, Croydon, Condah, Vic holds his champion ram at the Royal Geelong Show 2016 while Bron Ellis, Sweetfield, Mt Moriac, Vic holds her reserve champion ram.

Ram over 1 ½ July shorn: Woolondoon, 1; Croydon, 2; Cloverleaf, 3.

Ram under 1 ½ March shorn: Sweetfield, 1 and 2; Moralla, 3.

Ram under 1 ½ July shorn: Ballarat Grammar, 1; Sweetfield, 2; EMC, 3.

Ewe over 1 ½ March shorn: Sweetfield, 1; Ballarat Grammar, 2; Moralla, 3.

Ewe over 1 ½ July shorn: Sweetfield, 1 and 3; Moralla, 2

Ewe under 1 ½ March shorn: Sweetfield 1 and 2; Montone, 3.

About the Breed

The Corriedale was simultaneously evolved in both Australia and New Zealand about 1874 by selectively breeding from cross bred progeny of pure Merino and Lincoln sheep.
